“It’s #SmallBusinessSaturday and I’m doing a roundup on one of my fave categories—HOME,” Alba wrote in the caption of her March 6 Instagram. “From non-VOC paint to side tables to woven baskets to vases to furniture and more—I did a deep dive on all things interior design.”

Clare

Clare paint, of course, has been on the scene for some time with its gorgeous selection of non-VOC designer-curated wall paints. In fact, Taraji P. Henson just mentioned them in her roundup of favorite Black-owned businesses.

Rogue Marketplace

Next, Alba called out Rogue Marketplace, “the dope new twin sister of Rogue & Fox Floral Co. Curated Decor Essentials.” This Los Angeles-based marketplace showcases artisan wares set against floral arrangements by Rogue & Fox.

Bloomist

Alba then listed Bloomist, a greenery shop and collective of “designers who curate and create simple, beautiful goods for the nature-inspired home.” Bloomist sells a variety of dried botanicals, planters and pots, decorative accents, and allows shoppers to get to know their artisans.

Sarep + Rose

Sarep + Rose, a “fine, fair, and functional” marketplace for handcrafted luxury goods, is next on Alba’s list. The brand sells a beautiful collection of handmade baskets, as well as a selection of handbags and fashion pieces.

Villa Rustica

The wife-and-husband-run brand Villa Rustica markets artisan-made rustic planters inspired by mother earth. You can shop the collection via Instagram and DM to purchase.

Anecdote

Alba then linked Anecdote, an Illinois-based brand that sells furniture, art, and home decor. Anecdote sells both new pieces and curated vintage items.

Saffron + Poe

Saffron + Poe is a “Marketplace for ethically sourced hand-crafted goods for the collected modern home” and design studio located in California. The brand works with artisans across the globe to support their local communities while bringing beautiful pieces to their customers at home.

Christina Martinez

Artist Christina Martinez also made Alba’s favorites list. Martinez specializes in colorful abstract portraiture and sells both prints and originals. She also works on commission.

Rug & Weave

Rug & Weave is a textiles brand that specializes in rugs (both new and vintage) and pillows, but also sells a wide variety of different home decor pieces, categorized by room.

Loom + Kiln

And finally, Alba linked Loom + Kiln, a small business that sells antique rugs, handmade ceramics, and vintage art.

The best thing about Small Business Saturday is that it can be celebrated every day of the week. With Alba’s favorites at your fingertips, get to “add to cart”-ing.
