This Jessica Alba-Approved Portable Picnic Must-Have Is a Table and Basket All In One

Jessica Alba jumped onto Instagram on April 10 to share her support for the “shop small” movement using the hashtag #SmallBusinessSaturday. In her post, dedicated to spring picnicking, she shared a brilliant item from Home52 that literally elevates the picnic game. 

“The ☀️ is out and it’s a beautiful day! So this week for #SmallBusinessSaturday I wanted to share all the things to enjoy a picnic,” Alba captioned her post. “Whether it’s at the park, the beach, or your house—these goodies got you covered…I hope this inspires you to support these dope [businesses] and enjoy some time outside!”

The first item Alba shared is the Fold-Up Picnic Table and Carrier combo from Home52’s food platform Food52. Each table is handmade by Mikel Customs out of Jacksonville, Oregon out of cherry wood. The table transforms into a spacious picnic box by way of metal latches that can easily be unlocked to form an 18.5” by 16” tabletop with 10” legs.

Pesky critters crawling onto your cheese and crackers is no longer an issue.

The fold-up table is currently the only Mikel Customs piece on Food52, but the maker also sells unique and custom wood pieces like personalized wine and bourbon crates, side tables, and cheeseboards, over on their personal Etsy page.
