Joanna Gaines is well acquainted with the literary world. But in her newest book, the former "Fixer Upper" star is targeting a whole new audience: children.

"Today's the day! We get to finally share this project the kids and I have been working on!" Joanna wrote on an Instagram post on Monday. The photo, which features her youngest child, a boy named Crew, sitting on her lap, shows off pages from her new children's book, "We Are The Gardeners." But Joanna isn't the only author of this tome—the author's byline reads "Written by Joanna Gaines and kids."

"We wrote this children's book together to tell the story of our journey in the garden—a story of trying and failing and trying again and never giving up," Gaines writes. "We hope it inspires you and your little ones to get outside, get your hands dirty, and grow something great!"

In addition to Crew, who was born in June, the Gaines children include Duke, 9 1/2, Drake, 13, Emmie Kay, 8, and Ella Rose, 12.

The 40-page book, which was illustrated by Julianna Swaney, hits shelves at the end of March, but is available for pre-order today.

Joanna Gaines has authored several books, like "Magnolia Table: A Collection of Recipes for Gathering," "Homebody: A Guide to Creating Spaces You Never Want to Leave," and "The Magnolia Story," which was co-authored by her husband Chip.
