John Lennon’s Former Surrey Home is On The Market
Good news, rock fans: John Lennon’s former home is on the market in Surrey, Southwest England for $11.7 million. The Beatle purchased the home in 1964 with his first wife, Cynthia Lennon, selling it in 1968 when the couple split.
The home sits on 1.5 acres on St George’s Hill Estate, a highly sought after residential estate that includes golf and tennis clubs and gorgeous landscaping. The home itself has 6 bedrooms, 6 baths and has been meticulously updated. There are large reception rooms throughout and a spacious, updated kitchen as well. Period charm abounds with exposed beams, impressive fireplaces and the kind of window seat that daydreams are made of. A secondary building houses the heated indoor pool, which also included changing rooms and a sauna.
While not as famous as his other former residence in New York, The Dakota, it is still a piece of music history. And according to Wikipedia, Ringo lives on the estate as well. The home and its grounds are perfect for entertaining, and the rock star pedigree is enough to ensure a constant stream of Beatle-loving guests.
