John Stamos Revealed That He Has the Couch From “Full House”—And the Cast Is Showing No Mercy
Although the reboot “Fuller House” is coming to an end, “Full House” will always be remembered for the moments that happened on and around the nostalgic couch. Speaking of which, have you ever wondered, “where is that couch now?” Whether or not you have, it’s now known for certain: in the possession of Uncle Jessie, a.k.a. John Stamos, who revealed that it was now in his possession.
On March 31, Stamos posted a photo on Instagram of the legendary blue plaid sofa, featured on the sets of both “Full House” and “Fuller House.” While its current use as a baby gate may not be its permanent role in the Stamos house, the couch will surely be a conversation starter for anyone who sees it.
Even more intriguing is that his co-stars had no idea of its whereabouts—at least, that’s how they’re making it seem. Playful notes from past castmates like Candace Cameron-Bure exclaiming “You got it?!? Not Bob?” and Jodie Sweetin questioning the news with an all-caps “WHAAAATTT????” were posted in the comments section of Stamos’s photo.
From the looks of it, Bob Saget might have been assumed to be the rightful owner, but lost gracefully as shown by his comment of “I don’t know what it is John, but it gives me comfort.” Dave Coulier, better known as Uncle Joey, closed it out with a good laugh. “A lot of my farts are still in that couch,” he posted.
Regardless of who owns the couch, one thing is for sure: nostalgia continues to carry throughout American sitcom furniture, just like “The Max” from “Saved by the Bell” or Steve Urkel’s mini car from “Family Matters.” These pieces are meant to be cherished, remembered, and enjoyed—and maybe fought over, too.
