JoJo Fletcher Launched Her First Home Line with Etsy, and It Celebrates Indoor-Outdoor Decor
Need something unique? Go to Etsy. How about something handmade? Etsy. And now, thanks to former “Bachelorette” star and host of NBC’s “Cash Pad” JoJo Fletcher, home decor that’s a fit for both the indoors and outdoors? You already know the answer.
Earlier this month, Etsy launched a series of collaborating with well-known personalities on limited-edition home decor lines, and Fletcher is the latest to team up with the online marketplace. It’s the first time Fletcher has ventured into designing a home collection, and she wanted to make sure the product design focused around something she’s currently holding near and dear to her heart—staying home and creating a space that flows seamlessly between the indoors and outdoors.
The secret to striking that harmony with home decor? According to Fletcher, it’s all about finding a balance of textures and colors. “I’m very into earthy tones, those natural textiles, and materials like wood and brass,” Fletcher told Apartment Therapy. “Having pieces that are pretty neutral with those pops of color… we did that with our ceramic plates and pitchers that work extremely well in the outdoors but also look beautiful on an indoor dining table.”
Fletcher also mentioned how using high-quality textiles contributed to creating home decor that can exist within both spaces. “We did a really great job at sourcing great fabric for our pillows with pretty sturdy materials that gave us a ton of texture and warmth indoors,” Fletcher said. “You can easily pop it on a chair outside and it looks totally in place.”
One piece that stands out to Fletcher is the wall art macrame created by artist Candice Luter, one of 15 Etsy makers who helped bring the home collection to life. She said that it was the statement piece in the line, and that she loves how its beauty can be incorporated in multiple areas of the home.
No collection about bringing the outdoors inward and vice-versa would be complete without some plant lovin’. Fletcher threw ceramic planters for succulent and medium-sized houseplants into the mix that embodies a minimalist, textured look that can adapt to its surroundings.
“The one thing I’m a big fan of is having greenery all throughout my home, whether it’s indoors or outdoors,” Fletcher said. “Typically you would look at [these planters] and think they were for outdoor use, but they look beautiful indoor and create an organic feel.”
Etsy plans to roll out more of these limited-edition capsule collections with other personalities, from “Queer Eye” fashion guru Tan France to sisters Elsie Larson and Emma Chapman of A Beautiful Mess. Until then, have fun checking out Fletcher’s collection and finding your indoor-outdoor balance in the comfort of home.
