At first glance the front of this home appears to be built into natural boulders. Unfortunately, that aspect turns out to be faux, but the other design elements of this desert hideaway makeup for its lack of rock integration. With the use of metal, wood, concrete and glass, this green getaway disapears into the desert landscape.

Located in Joshua Tree, California, which is known for its rock climbing and beautiful desert landscape, the Joshua Boulder House sits on 2.5 acres of land with views of the surrounding desert. The home is professionally landscaped with drought-resistant trees and desert plants which make it low impact and disguise the neutrally colored home.

The 2-bedroom home takes up 1,700 square feet and comes with stained concrete flooring with radiant heat, a 2-car insulated garage, and beautiful floor to ceiling doors with low-E glass which open to connect the inside space to the outside.
