Julianne Moore's West Village Garden

Julianne Moore's West Village Garden

We've long loved Julianne Moore's interior design style, from her kitchen lights to her library. It's no surprise, then, that we also love the garden of her West Village townhouse. Boxwood and ivy, a basketball hoop, and a stone water fountain combine to create an outdoor space that's welcoming and inspirational.

While Moore's garden, designed by Brian Sawyer, may be a large for a city garden, it incorporates many ideas that are easy to emulate, even on a small deck. For example, stone troughs are filled with succulents, wall hangers provide additional planting space, and small touches like rock arrangements add visual interest. And of course, harder to emulate but perfect as eye candy are the Roderick Wolgamott Romero bird's nest tree house and the vintage Woodard garden chairs.
