With spring in full effect and everything around us blooming, we were inspired by Kari Herer's photographs. She takes some beautiful pictures of flowers and animals. Her latest set of magnolia blossoms and flower illustrations is stunning.

Magnolia trees have beautiful very fragrant flowers. They come in many shades of white and pink. We tend to gravitate towards plain white variety. Because magnolias don't last long as cut flowers, we have never been successful keeping them in vases, but we have used magnolia foliage in flower arrangements before. The dark green leaves are perfect for arranging flowers in a large vase.

We love how playful Kari's photographs are. We stumbled upon her art on the dress design decor blog. The Magnolia Bug prints are our favorite. Check out Kari Herer's Etsy shop to see more of her art.
