There is such a wealth of information and ideas online and we've got so many crafts and activities bookmarked, we're always sure we'll never run out of ideas. But, having them on the computer or tucked away somewhere means we don't always do them.

We love this simple reminder on Zen Family Habits to keep those ideas out where you can see them- even as simple as a bunch of post-it notes like this. This way there's no excuse for sitting around saying "I'm bored!"

Though we like the simplicity of this idea- you could also:

• Put each activity on a folded piece of paper and let children choose one from a jar or box.
• Display them on a large piece of paper and play a version of "Pin the Tail on the Donkey" by letting blindfolded kids chose an activity.
• Make a system in the same style as an Advent calendar so you can open one every time boredom strikes.
