Keeping Track Of The Day

Most Apartment Therapy readers should be able to relate to this one - keeping track of the day's events and staying on top of everything. Whether you are living on your own, shacking up with a partner or have a full house with kids and a pet, making sure that everyone knows what's going on is important in the home. Here are a few tips for tackling this daily grind.

1) Try to make your daily plan the night before. Take a s few minutes each night before you go to sleep and write down your list of things to-do. Then you'll have it ready to go in the morning.

2) Appoint one color to each family member.

3) Keep track of your standing tasks with a different color. This is more to see what's new on the list.

4) Create a place to check off accomplished tasks. Forget scratching out the item, this makes the board too busy. A simple checkmark keeps the to-do list clean.

5) Clean the board off every night as well. When you are making your list for the next day, get rid of the items that were taken care of or the delivered messages. Again, clean is the way to go here.

How do you keep track of your everyday tasks and messages?
