kid o Spring 2009

Thankfully the internet is somewhat anonymous or we'd probably be slapped with a restraining order for stalking the kid o website waiting for the new Spring 2009 products. kid o owner Lisa Mahar (remember her inspiring home?) has always selected toys and products based on quality, design and their capacity to provide stimulation and encourage creativity. She extends this same criteria to the growing legion of products designed under the kid o name.

What's new at kid o (shipping July 1st)?:

• Stacking, floating mother and baby duck set for bathtime fun ($12).

Deep Into the Forest playscape ($48) described as "part play theater and part brainteaser" which can be used for imaginative play or with the enclosed cards.

• Memory match - kids lift the dots (16 in the red game $35, 36 in the green, $48) to match numbers, patterns, animals, etc.

Stack and Nest cups ($12) for indoor/outdoor and wet/dry play.

• Wooden books (Animal Homes and Things That Go, $12) are beautiful and sturdy introductions to books for even the youngest children.

kid o is a bricks-and-mortar store, too, so put it on your list of NYC destinations if you're headed this way.
