For my job, I visit many, many e-commerce sites selling kids goods and, over time, you get a sense of each company's personality by how they present themselves visually, the selection of products they offer and, increasingly, how they seek to connect with consumers through social media and blogs. And many of them have created blogs worth your time; here are some of my favorites:
Store: Hanna Andersson
Blog: The Hanna Blog
What You'll Find: "All of what we love, from us to you." Hanna staff picks for style, decor, recipes, children's books and more that they love from around the web as well as Hanna-made projects and tutorials, behind the scenes glimpses and store news.
Store: Pottery Barn Kids
Blog: Building Blocks
What You'll Find: a mix of kids decor (including real nurseries and kid's rooms), arts & crafts projects, recipes and party inspiration along with company news. Posts are written by PBK Editors along with contributions from bloggers and designers.
Blog: Giggle Gab
What You'll Find: baby name inspiration, nursing information and advice, experiences of urban parenting, fashion and decorating advice, information on green products and parenting discussions.
