KitchenAid’s 2020 Color Of The Year Screams Spring
Spring has sprung over at KitchenAid. On March 14, KitchenAid freshened up and cleansed our social media feeds by releasing a video of their brand new appliance color.
The company’s 2020 Color of the Year is called Kyoto Glow, named after Kyoto, Japan, and it’s basically the color that pops into your head when you think spring. Vibrant, bright, and energetic, Kyoto Glow is making us want to get busy in the kitchen.
“The kitchen should be a haven where Makers are free to explore, play and try new things,” KitchenAid announced via its Instagram account. “It’s that spirit of optimism and positivity that inspired the KitchenAid 2020 Color of the Year. Introducing KYOTO GLOW.”
The brand continued, “Named after a city rich with culture, this new green hue is bright enough to refresh, but balanced enough to add a sense of tranquility to your countertop. Seeing the kitchen as your sanctuary. That’s the mark of a Maker.”
On the KitchenAid website, the company further explains the intent behind Kyoto Glow. Despite its vibrancy, the color is supposed to be a shot of zen into your chaotic lifestyle.
“Find time to oneself to recharge and replenish, and escape busy demands in life,” the Kyoto Glow page reads. “Kyoto Glow inspires self-care and a beautiful, natural glow.”
This appliance color sounds like a face mask, and that’s something we can get behind.
KitchenAid’s two most-beloved products are available in Kyoto Glow—the K400 Variable Speed Blender ($199.99), and the Artisan Series Stand Mixer ($299.99), and both are currently on sale.
Wellness is all about eating right and exercising, but wellness can also be inspired by visual elements, too. So if you’re into treating your eyes right, Kyoto Glow might be the perfect accessory for your zen garden of a kitchen.
