New Yorkers have been escaping the city for as long as the city's been here. See escape at its extreme at Kykuit, the Rockefeller residence located in Sleepy Hollow.
The estate was home to four generations of Rockefellers and is today open to the public for little one day escapes. Take a quick trip up there and check out the landmark house and gardens and an art collection that includes work by Pablo Picasso, Henry Moore, Alexander Calder, Louise Nevelson, David Smith and more.
There are choices of tours that focus on different aspects of the estate. One focuses on the grounds, another the art, another the residence. There is also a general overall tour that shows you a bit of it all. Has anyone been?
