Name: Lars (6 months) & Ida (3)
Location: Washington, D.C.

Color Inspiration: The color palettes in the books "Peter's Chair" by Ezra Jack Keats, "The Runaway Bunny" by Margaret Wise Brown & Clement Hurd, and "A Good Day" by Kevin Henkes all speak to me for a kids' room.

Tip for Using Color: If you love an item or a color, it will look good and feel inviting to you. I mean if you LOVE it love it. If you need an item, don't just get the first thing you see that "sort of" works with a scheme. That usually ends up being a waste of money. If you slowly fill a room with objects you love, then you will truly love the room and the colors will work together automatically.

Colors Used: The wall color is Sea Glass by Martha Stewart for Home Depot. It looks sort of minty in artificial light and is bluer in daylight. If I were to do it again I'd cut the saturation by 50%. Other colors that stand out to me are red, white, yellow, royal blue.

Thanks for your colorful entry Eliza and good luck!
