LA Good Question: Good Source for Plant Containers?

I am looking for some small plant pots I saw out but can't remember where. They were small 4in diameter unglazed clay like terra cotta but in dark gray and greenish black. Have you seen anything like that? Also I am looking for some very shallow wide containers in interesting shapes. I'm growing mainly succulents so shallow with good drainage is required.

Great point about succulent pots: succulents have shallow roots so they don't need deep containers. Try them in shallow containers and don't forget that succulents don't mind being squished together in a pot!

For containers, we love Green Arrow Nursery for their huge selection of pots. Also if you're willing to go a little ways, the POttery Manufacturing and Distribution in Gardena only sells pots so you'll find every conceivable style. If you're really just looking for cheap and easy Target and Ikea both have some pretty good options for succulents. These eco pots come in a ton of colors and you don't have to feel guilty about buying plastic since they'll biodegrate!
