We recently made a trip over to IKEA and spotted the HÅVA curtain rod set. We already own a ton of sheer curtains (and would like to put them to use) but need another layer of privacy when night falls. The double curtain rod is a perfect solution and we rounded up a few other ways folks layer window treatments for inspiration.
While we were planning on using the IKEA curtain rod in the living room, we're now thinking that it would be perfect for the bedroom. The sheer curtains would let tons of light in during the day and at night, we could close the second set of curtains for privacy. Not to mention, the extra zzz's we could catch in the morning with the second (darker set of curtains). We also like the look of blinds or shades as the first set of curtains and long drapes layered on the side. The contrast of textures and colors feels cozy and warm.
