Leaving a Light On To Welcome Yourself Home

Leaving a Light On To Welcome Yourself Home

021309-light.jpgThere's that Motel 6 ad on the radio that trills "We'll leave a light on for ya." Whether you live alone or with a partner or a roommate or two, coming home to a dark house is never fun or welcoming...

To welcome ourselves home, we leave a light on by the front door. Like keeping a bat under the bed or sleeping with the lights one, the psychic peace of mind we get is invaluable. (When friends drop us off, they make us flick the light on and off to let them know we got inside safely.) We can't imagine leaving all the lights off and coming home to a dark house though, since we've gotten the "what a waste of electricity" comment from a few people, we know that some people do. What's the policy in your home? Light on or off?
