When you are getting ready to furnish your dorm room, it might be a safe bet to check out some compact fridges. Some dorm rooms don't have them and offer larger fridges in the communal kitchen. While these might be useful, it all depends on how many people use them. It's a good idea to also be able to store some food in your room for a lot of different reasons. Maybe you don't want your roommates drinking your favorite juice or trying out your food. Either way, it's less sexy than an HDTV but it gets the job done.

This fridge is an under the counter type affair from Lec. The T5029 comes with a separate 4-star freezer compartment, making it really useful. We don't really like those ones that are hidden away in fridges themselves. It is a compact fridge, yet fully-functioning like its bigger brothers. It can fit neatly in a dorm room, or under a kitchen counter. It's perfect for students who are limited in space. It's about 20" wide, 33" tall, and has a 90L (24 gallons) capacity. It comes with integrated handles, reversible doors, a bottle shelf, a safety glass shelf, salad drawer, ice tray, and an internal light.

For those of you with a bit more space comes the T5059, which is also 20" wide and 47" tall. This fridge is compact enough for people who need a taller model, but can't accommodate the wider standard fridges. It's got a 136L (36 gallons) capacity. Having an extra fridge around comes in pretty handy, especially if you are living in a dorm or with other people. If you have even less space, maybe a table top fridge is for you.
