Quarantine Icon Leslie Jordan Will Host a New Cleaning Competition Series

Actor and quarantine icon Leslie Jordan is getting a new series, folks. The “Will & Grace” actor will soon host a new cleaning competition series called “Squeaky Clean” on Quibi, a short-form streaming app that offers bite-sized episodes in 10 minutes or less. A premiere date has not been announced yet, but “Squeaky Clean” will follow cleaning-obsessed contestants as they battle it out and, well, clean, presumably, in a series of competitive rounds. 

Lifestyle host and designer Sabrina Soto will also join Jordan in the series as the resident cleaning and organization expert, with each episode featuring a different celebrity judge. “Squeaky Clean” is executive produced by Christian Sarabia, Dean Houser, Nicole Elliott, and Tanya Shaw. Quibi’s official Facebook page offered a glimpse of the series on October 6 with a teaser video of Jordan.

“Look at this. This is my new hosting gig,” Jordan says from set. “Move over, Vanna White. It’s called ‘Squeaky Clean,’ it’s a competitive cleaning show on Quibi,” Jordan continues. “Gonna be a lot of fun.”

Jordan is an Emmy Award-winning actor best known for his roles in “Will & Grace,” “Hearts Afire,” and “American Horror Story.” Most delightfully, though, the actor has emerged as the ultimate quarantine icon with his various Instagram videos lamenting the tolls of life under a pandemic and social distancing guidelines. “Well, shit. What are y’all doing?” he says in one of his more popular videos uploaded in March. “This is awful,” he continues in his Southern drawl. “It’s still March. How many days are in March?” In another, he documents his progress from an online spinning class. “Well some of us can’t really afford a Peloton or an exercise bike,” Jordan quips. 

Considering how delightful Jordan’s at-home videos have been, Quibi’s “Squeaky Clean” deserves a spot in our quarantine queues.
