Let Your Home Help You Get Healthier
We all want to be healthier (with as little actual effort as possible), so why not let your home give you a hand? Setting up the conditions for good health will make it so much simpler to follow through and make real, positive changes in how you feel. It’s so easy.
Get good sleep
You know sleep is so important to how your body and brain works all day long and getting the right set-up for a great night’s sleep is so easy. Noise keeping you up? Try a team of earplugs and a sound machine. Too bright? Blackout curtains to the rescue. Temperature not right? You know what to do. You know how you sleep best so make it a priority to get your bedroom ready for a quality snooze session every night.
Stock healthy snacks
To eat healthy, you must stock healthy foods. You already know that a bare fridge is the number one cause of opting for unhealthy take-out or delivery. You know a rumbly tummy makes resisting office cookie time that much harder. You must feed your body the right way so you don’t need to resort to junk. Make the junky treats a choice, not the only option because you didn’t want to grocery shop.
Really relax
Stress is a major cause of illness and if you don’t want to fall victim to yucky issues like ulcers and heart disease, you must find a way to relax. Your home can help. Does a mess make you stress? Make an organizational system a priority. Do you need a place to be alone? Set one up. Identify what helps you get calm — soothing color? A luxurious bath? — and then implement it! Now! you can (and must!) tailor your space with stress-busting in mind. A little forethought goes a long way towards helping you really relax at the end of a long day.

Keep water handy
The best way to keep drinking water throughout the day is to have it on hand! Where do you hang out the most? Keep a filled carafe there! When you see it, you’ll drink it and when you drink it, you’ll stay healthy and hydrated.
