Dutch ovens can be prohibitively expensive. Yes, the Star Wars Le Creuset collection is cool, but not everyone can pay $450 for a Han Solo roaster, or even $150-$700 for a classic enamel-coated version. (Yes, $700!) That’s why it’s a big deal that grocery chain Lidl will be selling its Dutch ovens for $24.99 this week.

Lidl sells its affordable Dutch ovens every once in a while. Last October, it offered a burnt orange one for two days only. The year before that, during another two-day sale, Lidl sold one Dutch oven every 30 seconds.

This year’s version is a bright sunflower yellow and will arrive in stores on February 26. They’re only available in store (and for now, Lidl has stores only on the East Coast). They measure 4.2 quarts and are ovenproof up to 464 degrees Farenheit.

Lidl is a European chain, founded in Germany in 1973, that first came to the U.S. in 2017. It focuses on high quality, low prices, and efficiency, and it partners with local farms to create products with its own private label, similar to the Trader Joe’s model. Beyond food, it carries home goods—especially but not only for the kitchen—that rotate twice per week. To find the store nearest you, visit Lidl.com.
