There's nothing quite like outdoor lighting. We love the way the lights make us feel while we're sitting outside, either in our backyard or eating outside at a local restaurant. The problem with it is that it can start to get pretty pricey when adding the cost on top of indoor lighting.
Demakersvan created Light Wind, an outdoor light source that collects energy from the wind. It not only feeds the energy to the light, but it stores it as well &mdash ensuring that there won't be a dark backyard for the entire summer.
The design is based on the ever so brilliant artist pushing boundaries "contemporary vs traditional, art vs functionality". The design is contemporary, yet can also be traditional because we've seen this general shape before in outdoor lighting. It's art and it's functional. The functionality is that it provides a light source in outdoor areas, and it generates its own power from wind.
The Light Wind is a pretty large piece, measuring 240x215x38 cm and is made from some pretty tough materials. High end sail fabric, stainless steel, and wood are the three main ingredients! There's nothing boring about this self generating lamp and we're sure it'd be a crowd pleaser.
