Q: I have a long, narrow living room that connects the bedroom and the kitchen. It has very high ceilings but there is an arch in the middle of the room with little half walls that intersect out in the middle, making it impossible to put anything in the normal areas where you might utilize space. (see pictures).
Right now I have my couch backed up against the end of the room and a little arm chair on the other side but the space with the furniture is ALL WRONG. It's uncomfortable to be in and move around in. I don't want to make any big investments but can someone recommend a better way to arrange the furniture so that it's not irksome to live in?
