Look!: Woodblock Prints by Bronislaw M. Bak
We hit up some garage sales a couple weekends ago, and scored with a set of woodblock prints: One-Hundred Views of Chicago. Our set was down 13 prints (the owner let her daughter color on them years ago!), so we walked away with 87…and we LOVE them. We did a little searching online to find out what they were worth at Wright auction: $500-700. Not bad for some casual scavenging.
500 editions of the print set were made in 1967 here in Chicago. We think it’s so fun that we ended up with at least part of one…
What are some of your best, most recent and/or unique garage sale finds??
