Look! A Big Rug Made Out of Small Ones
Last week in LA we kept noticing nice touches in SKGR’s mom’s house. This one is a rug in her dining room that she made out of smaller, doormat-sized rugs. KG found this shaggy, bright blue item at Crate & Barrel a few years ago and wanted a bigger one, but they only had these. Buying 16 of them for not too much money (@ $240), she just put them on top of a rug pad where they stick fast (they only part a little bit). It’s sort of the precursor to FLOR.
She soon realized another good reason for doing this: it makes it easier to clean. Olivia always lies on this one side, so she just takes these up every few weeks and throws them in the machine.
