In a place like Palm Springs (and days like today in LA) the outdoors are already so saturated with sun and color that the last thing you want is more of the same inside. So we really appreciate this white, glass and chrome Palm Springs abode that we spied in Ty Pennington's At Home:
Designed by fellow designer Michael Moloney, the Palm Springs home is nearly translucent, filled with glass, marble, white walls and cool steel accents. The dining room mixes a whitewashed antique French settee with Philippe Starck's "Louis Ghost" chairs by Kartell. The bathroom uses marble and mirrors to keep the inside of the room feeling cool and serene and the industrial metal cabinets in the kitchen keep the room streamlined and clean.
