Look! Save Your MacBook's Life!

When your MacBook is running out of space, you need to save it's life, thanks to Dr. Hard Drive. It's either that, or your Mac is being overrun by a virus. No need to get all crazy, Dr. Hard Drive will back up your data and inoculate your computer against computer viruses.

This is a really cool looking hard drive enclosure. It's supposed to evoke the feeling of getting an IV bag for your machine, thanks to this hard drive. The concept also includes some virus software running on it, so that it can save your MacBook's life from all of those pesky viruses. This was designed by London-based Hyuh Jin Lee, who comes up with products with a sense of humor. Both designs look good. I guess that having a hard drive enclosure that's just hanging about is a good idea to get some ventilation for your HD as well.

My wife just bought a MacBook and she's happy to report that all of her pesky PC viruses are being destroyed by the Mac. That's a great feature when you make the switch to a Mac. It makes sense to have a spare HD in an enclosure like this to recover your Mac in case anything happens to it. You never can take too many precautions with your own data. It's a pain to lose it all, it's happened to me a few times and it's an exasperating experience. [via core77]
