The local Austin company Minimis takes its name from the Latin phrase "Minimis amplis est." For you non-Latin speaking folks out there, that's "less is more". With some really clever and show-stopping products like amazingly modern interior doors, LED exterior walkways and this incredibly sleek yet affordable countertop material, this company is poised to make a big impact on the Austin modern residential scene.
While we were definitely stopped in our tracks by their countertop material (which is this thin, sleek, cheaper than granite yet super durable gorgeous looking thing), we really fell in love with their recycled file cabinet planters. Available in original steel color or with awesome locally-painted urban art, you can recycle old furniture and beautify your garden!
What do you think about these products? Could you see yourself as the owner of an LED-lighted walkway or a recycled filing cabinet planter? Let us know!
