Look We Love: Overstuffed Picture Ledges

Look We Love: Overstuffed Picture Ledges

A tidy yet eclectic art display is just a short shelf away. Like, really short. Shallow picture ledges are a great way to switch out artwork on the fly, and we happen to think that more is definitely more when it comes to how much you try and fit to a ledge. Here's how to make it happen...

How to Get the Overstuffed Look

Three words: Layer, layer, layer. Overlapping is not only OKAY, it's encouraged.

What to put on picture ledges:

  • Framed photos (duh)
  • Books and magazines, especially if you love the covers
  • Small objects
  • Tiny potted plants

For extra credit:

Hang some artwork on the wall above your ledge(s) to add to the visual cluster.
