Lucky Kids

Whenever we learn of a new kids publication we always wonder if it might fill the glossy hole left in our hearts by Cookie. It turns out that recent changes over at Lucky Magazine include plans for Lucky Kids and we are eager to see what’s in store. How exactly will the self-proclaimed “magazine about shopping” play to parents, especially during these challenging economic times?

Like dearly departed Cookie and Domino, both AT and Ohdeedoh favorites, Lucky is a Condé Nast publication. While Lucky‘s emphasis was always on fashion, there were occasional items on decor during the 10 years that founding editor Kim France was running the show. We hope to see that continue with new editor Brandon Holley and are curious about the focus of the new magazine about kids, which we assume will be a little different than its clothing-centric big sister. Lucky Kids will be published three times in 2011. Subscribers will receive the publication poly-bagged with their regular magazines in April, September and December, and it will also be available on newsstands.
