Name: Lucy James (3)
Location: Delaware

When designing her room, we wanted to make sure Lucy's space was a place she could play in for hours. Now that she's a big sister, giving her a special space that is all her own was very important.

Her nursery was very neutral so lots of color was a must in her big girl room. Her favorite things to do are play with her play kitchen (that I DIY'ed from two nightstands), do art projects at her table, and count her 'monies' in her owl bank (as seen in photo). I used my love for Audrey Hepburn to add a little fun, vintage twist to her modern-Bohemian style room.

We gave her the room with two closets. Since her wardrobe is minimal, the second closet is used as additional storage for toys and art supplies. My favorite part of the room is the art wall where we framed paintings Lucy did herself. We also installed a wire curtain rod so she could easily swap out art projects as she wished. The wall decal was a recent addition - Lucy tells me it looks like a smile.

This room is one that Lucy will be able to enjoy for years to come.
