Lupita Nyong’o Placed a Mirror In an Unexpected Spot — and You Might Want to Try It

Lupita Nyong’o never ceases to amaze her fans, from the bright hued and bold printed outfits she sports on the red carpet, to her career that ranges from Oscar-winning roles in period pieces to horror flicks. Another inspirational choice the 38-year-old made: opting to place a full-length mirror in her living room in an unexpected corner. 

Nyong’o recently shared a photo of herself wearing a “Candyman” t-shirt, promoting the upcoming film written by her pal and director of “Us” Jordan Peele. And while her living room style looks fairly traditional, the placement of the large, white-framed mirror stands out when it’s against a wall of windows, not quite in the corner of the room but directly to the side of her gray sofa. 

While the mirror might have been moved for the sake of getting the perfect photo, there’s a possibility that its placement is intentional. This follows the simple statement that when it comes to interior design, you don’t have to follow the rules to make an impact.
