Lutron Is The Light Police For Your Home

Many of our homes go unoccupied for up to 70% of the day and when we are home, there's a good chance we're flitting back and forth from room to room. Lutron makes sure to turn things off when you enter and exit a space, keeping your electricity usage down without having to remember to do so!

We love the idea of gadgets like this, but usually they involve some major wiring or technological know-how and quite often they can feel a little unapproachable. Lutron works off radio waves so all that's needed is a switch to their dimmer switch and the attachment of the sensor unit somewhere in your home (which doesn't require wiring).

Lutron senses when someone walks into a space and again when they leave. Each time the lights are turned on and off accordingly. Having lived in a dark basement loft for almost a year, we can testify that coming home with an armful of groceries doesn't always leave room to flip the switch and more than once we've prayed there's nothing on the floor to trip on!

The product is available in black, white and almond to help match any color choices and retails for $130.
