Name: Lydia (7) & Joey (4.5)
Location: Appleton, Wisconsin
My 2 oldest teamed up to share a room – for forever and ever or so they say – because they simply love NOT being alone. (I will check back when they are teenagers on that line) This also gave me the task of creating a space that is both for a boy AND a girl. And thanks to our fabulously adorable character home, I had the added bonus of working around bunk beds.
I consider my style to be eclectic + modern + vintage all rolled into one. There is a definite mix between old and new – many of the old coming from my childhood which I love. My inspiration for this space was to create something that they can grow with by adding a few sophisticated elements and keeping it somewhat gender neutral. And because we are planning to move in the near future, I didn’t want to do a complete overhaul of the room so some repurposed some pieces and did a couple DIY projects to give the room a new look.
