We've seen a couple of people using the Mac Mini + MacBook Pro home office combination, but what if you need a bit more power? That's when the iMac comes into play and Ronny just added one to his minimal home office. His desk is one extremely clean, making it stand out from the others that we've seen.

Ronny is from Radebeul, Germany, and he was running a Mac Mini for a while. He recently purchased a 24-inch Apple Cinema Display, but needed more computing power. He decided on a 21.5-inch iMac, with a 3.06 Ghz processor, 8 GB RAM, and a 500 GB hard drive. He says that it's very quiet and significantly faster than the Mac Mini. One of the main reasons he purchased it is because of Apple's comprehensive Apple Care warranty.

One of the reasons why he chose a 21-inch iMac is because that he was concerned about the display of the 27-inch iMac. He considers the 21-inch screen better than the 27-inch iMac. It was much more vivid, and he probably got a good deal on it as well. He uses the simple yet effective IKEA Vika Amon/Vika Annefors desk, which adds a nice airy feel to his home office. We like how the shelves are partly open, meaning that they are perfect for peripherals and managing your wires.

Naturally, those aren't his only Mac computers. He's got a MacBook Pro 15 and a Powermac G5 1.8 Ghz hidden away. All in all, this is a testament to effective minimalism. We'd like our own workstation to look as efficient ad this one.
