Make A Dynamite Hanging Daybed On The Cheap

We've mentioned our love for swings before in the past, but what happens when you cross a daybed with a swing? This hanging daybed is by Ana of Knock Off Wood and she "almost didn't publish the plans because they were just too simple!" So head out to the hardware store because you've got a swing to make!

The supply list for this project is super short and on the inexpensive side of things and can be done with a hand saw! It doesn't even require power tools if you don't have any. Check with your local hardware store to see if they'll make the cuts for you, if not, plan on putting in an hours worth of hard work for the project. Here's what you'll need:

17 - 2x4 studs (should be less than $2 each)
100 3" wood screws
50' of rope or chain with a load limit of at least 200 pounds (for an 800 pound capacity)
4 - Eyebolts (8 if you also need bolts for the ceiling mount too)
Finishing Supplies as desired

Check out Anna's simple plans for this awesome daybed and make sure to send us pictures of your own creation! You could make one to hang outside, or even inside in a bedroom or basement playroom. We think they look like a dreamy place to read a book or just take a few minutes to relax.
