Make a Nature Explorer Bag

There's something so sturdy and yet so soft about these adorable bags. Stocked with all the equipment that a dedicated nature explorer needs, we wish we'd had one back when we were kids. Fortunately, though, the amazing tutorial linked below will give you all the details on how to make one for your little explorers.

Holly Keller of Chez Beeper Bebe has quite a knack for creating beautiful toys and crafts, and this one is no exception. Her downloadable tutorial has the pattern and all the instructions to create the bag, plus sources for all for all the gear inside, and labels for attaching to the little tins and notebooks. Holly used a cotton/linen blend for the exteriors and lined them with plaid homespuns for a vintage, outdoorsy feel, and there are plenty of pockets for colored pencils, magnifying glasses, whistles, and a flashlight. Can you tell we want to one for ourselves?
