Fabric is a great way to bring color into the home, but not everyone has the patience to make a pillow. If you like the look of macrame, but aren't into the granny-chic look, check out this simple tutorial to make your own hanging planter with a little personality.

Hanging plants are a great way to free up some tabletop space and add a little life to your windows. That said, modern hanging planters aren't always inexpensive and vintage macrame might remind you a bit too much of your Grandma. Update the look with strips of leftover fabric and make your own!

Julie from Gleeful things is happy to walk you through the process of making a few plant hangers with simple and easy to understand steps. As long as you can tie a knot you're in business and the results are the perfect way to living up a patio or even an interior space.
