Make a Set of Personalized Dishes

A few years ago during my parents' kitchen renovation, I came across a Mother's Day mug I had made in preschool. My mom had kept it through the years on a high shelf. Too precious to ever use, she said. It got me thinking about what a great children's project personalized mugs are. But there's no need to stop there.

Amy of Eclectic Mom let her kids personalize an entire set of everyday dishes including glasses using porcelain and glass pens. Depending on the age of your kids, you can give guidance or let them have complete creative freedom. The result will be a set of dishes your children will be thrilled to see daily. Like my mom, you'll want to keep them forever. Painting with porcelain and glass pens is also a great way to unify a set of otherwise mismatched drinking glasses.
