In the past we've taken a look at what to do with an abacus in your home and how to make a rustic version for your tiny tots to play with. Although it's been around for awhile now, that CB2 abacus still has many of us swooning, but like many others, this mom is still refusing to pay full retail price and set out to make her own.
Over at Anything Pretty there's been some crafting going on! This large abacus was constructed from wooden beads and a few bits of wood and dowels from the hardware store. The parents have taken extra precuations to ensure it can't be pulled off the wall and even made adjustments so the beads can be changed out later on if they want to switch up their color schemes.
No matter how you look at it, the project comes in at less than half the price of the CB2 retail version and will be a great addition to this nursery as it's a great handmade piece that was made with love and care. Check out more details on the project over at Anything Pretty.
