Ohdeedoh reader Ali has a creative bug in her and always has something fun to share. She made an indoor collapsible playhouse and then later on made it into an art tent! This time around she's turning her children's artwork into pillows. Check out a closeup and hear the story behind this perfect little pillow, after the jump.
Meet Cricket. Ali and her family met Cricket this summer at the Denver Zoo. She's a baby giraffe that her children fell in love with. Stories were told, doodles were made and now giraffes are the new favorite animal in their household.
To help make this a more memorable down the road, Ali took one of the drawings done by her son Owen and turned it into this toddler-sized pillow case with the help of a hoop and some embroidery thread. What a great way to have sweet dreams for years to come.
Even if you don't need, say, 30 pillows by the time you go to college, the pieces could be rescued from the collection of artful memories and turned into a killer quilt that will beat the pants off any designer hands down!
