Make This Eco-Friendly String Tree Work For Your Holiday

Over the last several months we've had one post that keeps resurfacing into the list of our top 5 posts over on the side bar. It's a quick way to find out what's hot here on Re-Nest and making a string tree wall mural has captured your hearts for quite some time. If you're a fan, why not transfer that idea into a holiday theme—string Christmas tree, anyone?

Although Thanksgiving is still a few days away, that hasn't stopped many for thinking about holiday decorations. Many homes dig out their ornaments and other holiday decor while family is over for Turkey Day, but instead of going with your traditional tree, why not give this string tree an idea?

You could make a more realistic tree like the original string tree mural, but we took inspiration from a holiday card to change up the idea. The best part is that it would only require nails or push pins at the end of each branch. If you're a renter and not into adding the holes to your wall, you could use sticky release hooks, but it won't have the same polished look (just make sure they're rated for the correct weight of your ornaments).

You'd be able to hang ornaments across each string and you could add more horizontal strings if you needed them for more space to hang extra ornaments. It's a simple idea that can be used no matter how small your space is.
