Make Your Own Ornaments (For a Good Cause!)

Putting up your tree this weekend? It's always fun to add a few homemade ornaments to commemorate the year. An e-book put together by several crafty bloggers offers some stylish DIY ornament ideas, and fifteen percent of the proceeds from the book go to Project Linus, a chairty that collects handmade blankets for children in need.

The e-book, Crafty Tree Trimmings, includes instructions and photo tutorials for six cute, relatively simple ornament projects. The contributors are some of our favorite crafty bloggers, like Susan Beal from West Coast Crafty and Linda Permann from Lindamade.

The book is available for $12 from Craftypod, and the contributors have set up a Flickr pool where those who've made their own versions of the ornaments can post photos. Check it out! And click here to learn more about Project Linus.
