There's no denying that a great many of us used to play Mario Brothers non-stop back in the day. The Mario Bros. series was monumental in the gaming industry and we still like playing the updated version our Wii. A favorite part of the game to this day is racking up coins by hitting each and every coin block on each level. We've always wished those blocks were real...

Instructables user Brunoip painstakingly wrote step-by-step detailed instructions illustrating how to make your own coin block. We're not going to sugar coat it and say this is the easiest DIY project, because it's not. It's going to take some time and you might want to even make a family project out of it!

The end product results is your very own, wall mounted coin block that actually makes the original sound and pops a coin out from the top like it's video game equivalent. As adults, we're really excited about the potential fun factor of this project, so we can't even imagine how much a child would love this for their bedroom.
