Make Your Sewing Machine Run In Tip-Top Shape

We've featured tons of sewing projects during Home Hacks month, but when was the last time you gave your sewing machine a little maintenance? Do you know where to start? What needs the most attention? It's easy to do and guarantees it will run in tip-top shape for years to come!

Over at Crafty Nest, they've taken the time to detail for us, the step-by-step breakdown of how to detail your sewing machine. We have to admit, we're guilt of not having cleaned ours in quite sometime. It seems we're either in the middle of a project or just plain old forget and somehow this super important step goes by the wayside.

Crafty Nest suggests cleaning things out and oiling it down each time you change your bobbin, that way you won't forget when you did the deed last. Sewing machines have the ability to last a lifetime if properly cared for, so there's no excuse not to give them a once over — once in awhile.
