Great ideas are often hiding in plain sight, in places you don’t expect to find them. Take cult beauty purveyor Glossier’s pop-up at Rhea’s Cafe in San Francisco. If you follow the brand on Instagram, you’ve likely seen photos of the blush-and-green restaurant takeover. While some might be smitten by the retro-mod styling vibes or the rows of cosmetics and skincare, there’s something else of note we’re borrowing for our own vanity. Let’s take a look.

Do you see it? Sundae goblets as makeup storage! Of course, the move is probably just a playful nod to this makeup-meets-diner collaboration, but the cheeky idea is actually really smart. Makeup organizers can be expensive; you know what’s pretty affordable? Sundae glasses (or glassware in general).

We can see these being used to sort long and thin beauty items like eyeliners, brushes, lip balms or glosses and beyond. Though not really a solution for a serious makeup aficionado, if you have a tight assortment (and very little drawer space), it’s something to consider. Restaurant supply stores sell these for very little money; you may also come across them in thrift stores for literal cents.
