Update: We now know more about Marie Kondo’s upcoming TV show. The Hollywood Reporter announced Wednesday that the eight episode season will air globally on Netflix. The as yet untitled series “will focus on Kondo as she guides people who, as Netflix describes them, are at a crossroads to spark joy in their homes, transforming their lives in emotional and surprising ways.”

“Marie created an incredible global movement to inspire personal understanding through mindful organization,” says producer Gail Berman. “We’ve seen individuals undergo astonishing and moving personal journeys simply by applying Marie’s approach to their own homes, and we are delighted to work with her and Netflix to share her method.”

December 4, 2017: If you’ve read The Life-Changing Magic of Tidying Up, but you’re still not quite sure how best to fold or thank your things, we have good news. Decluttering queen Marie Kondo has a TV show in the works where she’ll come to your house and help you organize your life.

“I will be bringing the life-changing magic of tidying up to a brand new series for a global TV platform!” Kondo said in an Instagram post on Sunday. “On this new series, I will be working with people to transform their home & spark a personal transformation.”

The show is being produced by MysticArt Pictures, and the casting call says you can apply for yourself (as long as you’re over 18) or nominate someone who could use some life-changing magic of their own.

Currently, “Organize the World with Marie Kondo” (working title) is only looking for people available in the greater Los Angeles area between March and June of 2018—fingers crossed she takes this show on the road.

This isn’t the first KonMari themed TV show in the works; Tidy Up with KonMari! was a hit special on Japanese public TV, and there was even an NBC sitcom planned, though we haven’t heard anything else about it since 2015.

If you can’t wait until 2018 for your next Kondo fix, she recently helped Katie Couric organize her closet, and she wrote a graphic novel about—what else?—tidying up.
