Martha Wants Pets to Chill With Her New Line of CBD Products
Lifestyle maven Martha Stewart has done wonders for the everyday lives of humans all over the world. Millions owe their improved plant-watering techniques, home makeovers, meal preparation and party-hosting skills to Stewart’s expertise. With her latest venture, the Emmy Award-winning entrepreneur will expand her focus on helping animals live their best lives too, with the upcoming launch of a line of cannabidiol-infused products for pets.
Following in the footsteps of her potluck pal and marijuana enthusiast Snoop Dogg, Stewart has partnered with Canada-based cannabis company Canopy Growth on her latest endeavor. She joined the organization as an adviser to help develop cannabis-derived products geared towards people and animals.
“”I am delighted to establish this partnership with Canopy Growth and share with them the knowledge I have gained after years of experience in the subject of living,” Stewart said. “I’m especially looking forward to our first collaboration together, which will offer sensible products for people’s beloved pets.”
Due to the nonpsychoactive nature of hemp-derived CBD (it has extremely low THC levels), there’s no risk of animals getting high. There is, however, scientific evidence that hemp-derived CBD oils can provide relief for pets suffering from inflammation and pain associated with arthritis, as well as insomnia.
A recent report on the rising trend of CBD products referred to the oil as “not quite mainstream yet,” but with Stewart’s co-sign in the books, we can guess more and more people will think of it as a “good thing,” as Martha would say.
